On Monday 26th June 2006, the year 10 Vocational group went to visit Bath Fire Station to be shown what exactly was involved in becoming a firefighter.
Despite it being surprisingly wet and drizzly, they got involved with yet more water when they were there!
They were given a talk on what sort of things firefighters had to do, and were shown the equipment they used.
Then they got to try and see how hard it was to actually use one of the high pressure hoses at the varying water pressures they needed depending on the job. Everyone decided that you had to have good muscles and be very fit because the high pressures were very difficult to handle!
Here's a movie of when they started to get the hang of it!
