| KS3 Canal Trip 2006 |
 |
On Wednesday 28th June the rest of Mrs Davies and Mr Ellison’s tutor group enjoyed a geography visit.
Mr Moon and Pascale took the group to the Dundas aqueduct and the Kennet and Avon Canal near Bath. The group enjoyed a super day out with a picnic lunch by the canal side.
They learned about transport along the canals and about the differences between rivers and canals. On some of the bridges they saw the grooves worn by the “horse powered” towropes.
They were all very impressed by the Dundas aqueduct—one of two bridges designed by John Rennie.

The group watching the Canal from a good vantage point!

And then up close and personal on the Canal path.

Feeding the ducks and watching the world go by after a long walk by the canal!
