KS3 Geography Field Trip

On Wednesday 1st February, KS3 went on a Geography field trip to the Mendips.

They have been studying changing landscapes.

The group went to Ebbor Gorge, Cheddar Gorge and Charterhouse Reserve. The group enjoyed the spectacular scenery. They also saw some great examples of the limestone hills.

KS3 Geography wrapped up warm at the top of Ebbor Gorge. They walked down into the Gorge and looked at things close up.

Here they are at the bottom of the gorge, with the limestone cliffs all around them. They were looking at how they came to be that way and how they change.

The spectacular scenery of Cheddar Gorge showing how dramatic the differences in limestone landscapes can be.  From deep gorges to....

... the limestone karst landscape of Charterhouse.
