| PUPIL WORK - Collaboration with Cadbury's |
 |
Summer Term 2005 - December 2005
Y10 Technology students took part in a workshop run by Cadburys as part of the schools links with industry and enrichment of Design Technology Curriculum. It was a project greeted with a lot of enthusiam and interest because it involved working with chocolate!
Staff from Cadburys helped students to design a new chocolate bar and wrapper so they could understand experience the work that goes into every chocolate bar they've ever seen. Students learned how chocolate is made at the Cadbury's plant and tried out mixing ingredients with chocolate to make a new product "The Fosse Way Fizzer". They then did work based on their experiences, including their own designs.
One of the students designs has been made up at the factory and was presented at the school on Monday 5th December.

A very nice lot of chocolate called the Mint Tunnel! And who can resist a close up of chocolate?
There it is out of its packaging - and here it is with the designed pacaging in close up.
When it comes to projects like these there is a lot of pupil and staff interest!
Our thanks to Cadburys for their contribution and we look forward to working with them again in the future.
