This course has 4 main elements.

 

  • Understanding Behaviour
  • Assessment for Learning
  • Interventions
  • Case Studies

 

The course will be of particular interest to those seeking to learn more about behaviour in the classroom and elsewhere, whether they wish to improve their own behaviour management skills or to help others to do so.

 

 

Target Group:

 

 

Teachers and support staff who want to gain greater insight

Into managing behaviour in the classroom and elsewhere. Applicable to all key stages.

Course Title: ‘Interactive Whiteboards’ - SMARTBoard

 

Description of Course:

 

This course will have 2 key elements:

 

  • A focus on the main functions of the Smart board software
  • Opportunity to consider a range of software and programmes that are particularly effective on the interactive whiteboard

 

 

Target Group:

 

 

Teachers and Teaching assistants who have little experience in using Interactive Whiteboards, but who will have the opportunity to practise skills learnt.. This course specifically focuses on the ‘SMARTboard’ and is essentially unsuitable for those using ‘Prometheon’

Applicable to all key stages.

  • A practical session exploring a range of tried and tested strategies to support children with language impairment in the classroom (the rest of the class will appreciate them too!) We will be looking at:
    • Strategies to promote attention & listening, comprehension and expressive language
    • Practical activities  and resources
    • How to link strategies to the IEP
