ATTENDANCE

Regular attendance and punctuality are essential. Only illness, extreme domestic need, or parental holidays are considered as reasons for absence from school.

Parents are requested to inform the school on the morning of a child's absence. Please telephone the school; or pass a written message to the escort. The school will endeavour to contact the parents/carers (using emergency numbers, if necessary) of any child not accounted for by either register or home information on the first morning of absence.
This also ensures that no pupil can be absent from school without the knowledge of parents.

Parents are asked not to send children to school who are feeling unwell in the morning. If a child falls ill or has an accident while at school we will make arrangements for the parents to be informed and to collect the child where possible. In case of emergency, children will be taken to hospital.

Pupils are expected to take part in the Physical Education programme and either a note or a medical certificate should be sent prior to any withdrawal from these activities.
