 INCLUSION ACTIVITIES

Fosse Way School encourages a great deal of interaction with other mainstream schools in the form of visits, projects and combined teaching. We also have a strong connection with other members of the school community.

Here are just a few of the things our pupils have done with other schools recently.

Inclusion Events

  • Students from John Cabot Technical College visit to work with students to produce 'plastic' artefacts
  • KS3 & 4 animation projects took place in conjuction with Somervale Secondary.

Specialist School projects.

As part of Fosse Way's specialist school status as a technology college, there is a commitment to working with 5 partner primary schools and 2 partner secondary schools (Norton Hill and Somervale)

Find details of these ongoing projects at the links below

General inclusion

We also have children on dual placement in our Early Years classes, attending both Fosse Way and mainstream course, and students who attend college a couple of days a week.

Our post-16 group have regular community based learning and recently they noticed that  the toilets were not labelled with signs in Tesco's and wrote to them and got it changed.

We have a great deal of work experience that takes place in the local community, which fosters strong links between the pupils and the community in general.
