| SCHOOL DRESS CODE |
 |
We like to encourage an atmosphere of work rather than
leisure and so no not allow casual clothes to be worn
to school. (NO jeans, leggings, colourful T-shirts,
colourful trainers or boots). We would like your child
to wear a school sweatshirt, Royal Blue in the Lower
School and Black in the Upper School (starting at Year 7). The Sixth Form has its own dress code (see below for guidelines). School Uniform is now available from the supplier Clobber, which is located within walking distance of the school.

less favourably for reasons of colour, race, religion,
culture or ethnic origin, but this would not preclude
the exclusion of the child form certain activities if
their dress was considered unsafe.
Sixth form dress code (years 12,13,14)
As of December 2005 members of our Sixth form petitioned the Governing body to allow them to adhere to a separate dress code. The Governing body approved their proposed guidelines which are as follows;
Students should look tidy and wear clothes that are appropriate for an office environment. The following points provide further guidance:
- Shorts, vests and sun tops are not acceptable
- Skirts and dresses should be of a reasonable length
- Ripped or damaged clothing (such as fashionable torn jeans) are not acceptable
- Excesses of fashion such as jewellery, makeup, clothing or hairstyle should be avoided
Students will continue to need coats and sports clothing when necessary.
When representing Fosse Way or meeting school visitors students should dress appropriately. For example, young women should wear a dress, or a blouse or shirt and skirt or smart trousers. Young men should wear a shirt, a tie and smart long trousers.
The headteacher reserves the right to insist that all students be dressed appropriately for school.
Parents and carers are advised that health and safety issues make body piercing and some footwear (high heels, flip flops) unacceptable for a school environment.
