Fosse Way School has a team of speech and language therapists working collaboratively with the teaching staff to support functional communication across the school. The team provide integrated support for students as part of their school day through whole class teaching, smaller targeted groups and 1:1 intervention as appropriate. All of the Therapists at the school are PECS, Makaton and Attention Autism trained as well as having a wide range of experience in other areas. Through regular training and supervision the therapists keep up to date with innovative practice in the field of speech and language therapy.
